The August meeting of BMAC came to order online at 6PM with 14 members,
including new member English Steve.

We had a discussion about reducing dues for 2020-2021 because of the lower
number of activities due to covid. The major annual expense of the club
are the July BBQ, which we did not have, and the Christmas party. We are
deferring the decision for now, until we have a better idea whether the
Christmas party will occur this year.

Bob presented a couple of the scary incidents from recent MotoGP races;
fortunately no one was hurt.

John spoke briefly about the Veteran’s Ride; he just happened to be up in
Woodland Park and joined them; at least 500 bikes were involved.

Jim spoke about the upcoming [Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride](
www.gentlemansride.com/), an annual charity event for men’s health
where participants wear dapper old clothing, groom their beards, and ride
old motos. He will post more information on the Facebook site soon.

Goorge and Dana spoke about the 2020 Speed Week at Bonneville; once again,
the club set several records; Tim, Frank, Ivan and Ramesh got:

Puckett LSR 100CC MPS-BF 64.982 Honda

Puckett LSR 250CC MPS-PBF 81.04 Truimph

Puckett LSR 350CC MPS-PBG 89.973 BSA

Tim Tim Racing 50CC M-PBG 46.775 Honda

Dana also showed off the trick wire clamp tool he got from [Clamptite](
clamptitetools.com/); it’s a great tool for making custom hose
clamps, as long as you don’t need to remove them very often.

John showed off the pre-unit transmission he pulled off his ’48 Triumph,
which appears to be much older and includes what he thinks is a gear-driven
speedometer.

Due to weather, the ride tomorrow will stay closer to home and lee will
save Bishop Castle for another day.
