> Our January 2022 monthly meeting is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 8 at 10 am at the Great British Food Company. It looks like we will be finally seeing those awesome bike projects our members submitted to the clubs competition for the Sherm Schroeder Award for innovative motorcycle engineering (Frank Puckett), and the BMAC award for best restoration (James Lafler). I don’t know if weather will permit the bikes to be trailered in or not but we will have some excellent progress photos and descriptions of the projects submitted so this will be a good show.

> Also, I would like to invite you to plan to pay your 2022 dues either by the website sign-up function, or bring a check, cash or credit card to the meeting on Saturday. Good news is we are maintaining our dues at $35/ year for 2022 and you will more than get it back between the summer BBQ and Christmas Party.

> And, if you want to show a bike or two in the Pro-Promotions all motorcycle Super Show May 26/27 in Colorado Springs, the BMAC will underwrite $15 of the $30 entry fee for your first bike for BMAC current paid members. We do this to encourage greater participation as this show has great public appeal and is a wonderful promotion for the BMAC and helps us recruit new members.

> If you want to enter more bikes, they will be charged the $30/bike fee. When you consider that every entrant gets two adult passes to the event (each worth $15) you will be making money if you enter a bike! $30 entry – $15 BMAC subsidy = $15 cost to you, less $30 in passes = a gain $15! You can’t afford not to enter!

> And if you apply that savings of $15 to your $35 BMAC dues, you get a year membership AND a bike show entry for only $20 total ! Now tell me that is not a heck of a deal.

> Finally, I would like to extend an invitation to former members who have dropped by the wayside over the past few years due to concerns with covid in group gatherings or other family or work issues to “come home” and rejoin the BMAC. We have made a lot of progress and our meetings are always filled with great programs and sharing of our hobby.

> And for those who would like to participate but live a long distance away and find the drive to Colorado Springs impractical, we are adding an awesome new tool. We will be introducing an online conferencing tool (Zoom) to allow remote members to “sit in” on the meetings without having to leave the comfort of home. Now you can have the full meeting experience (less breakfast unless your wife serves you) and stay in sync with your fellow bikers. This is going to help connect to our “snowbirds” who winter in warm places or keep members who have moved out of state engaged.
